Antony De Heveningham from Singletrack magazine shares his experience and discovers what makes a thriving MTB destination.
As part of the Scottish MTB Conference held in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire in late 2022 NEAT supported a press trip for specialist media to experience some of Aberdeenshire’s riding and wider tourism offering. Leading UK publication Singletrack Magazine, who provide both print and digital offerings profiled the local riding and some of the key individuals and groups playing a role in Aberdeenshire’s continued growth as an MTB destination.
In partnership with Opportunity North East and Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland we are delighted to have been able to support local adventure tourism providers with specialist training and support via the North East Economic Recovery and Skills (NEERSF) Fund.
Building on an exciting few years of road cycling activity in the region and the NEAT ambition to raise awareness of Aberdeenshires wealth of adventure sports opportunities we were delighted to work with renowned platform Cycling Tips to show off just a snippet of the regions road riding scene.
